Financial Information
Payment for initial consultation (and X-rays if applicable) is due on the day of consultation. After your consultation, we will prepare an estimate of the costs of treatment including an estimate of coverage–if any– by your insurance plan(s). It is essential that you bring a copy of all medical and dental insurance cards to the initial consult so that we can do our best to determine what insurance coverage you have. This way you will know how much you owe and how much insurance may cover. If you wish, we can assist you in arranging financing for services with CareCredit, a private 3rd party financing organization, prior to surgery. We accept cash, check (with immediate verification), Visa and MasterCard. For certain complex procedures, pre-payment is required; otherwise payment is due at the time service is rendered.
We will bill your insurance company for their estimated portion of treatment. Most insurance companies process claims within 4-6 weeks. In some cases, the amount of coverage that the insurance company acknowledges before surgery as an estimate is LESS than the amount they actually pay when billed. When the insurance company pays less than the estimated amount–or if they deny approved services after the fact–the remaining balance is the patient-guarantor’s responsibility.
